Italian San Marco camouflage pants, circa 1980s

The Italian M1929 camouflage pants. Based on my research, this one appear to be one of the last patterns produced before being replaced by the later Battaglione San Marco (BSM) camouflage. PS: part of Pak Ken Conboy’s collection.

I need help identifying the exact cut and period. Are these pants an airborne cut, a marine cut, or another type? Many thanks!

From a friend of mine, Fabrizio Giannotti @ instagram:
“Very nice, 80′ San Marco pants and italian navy security base corps, S.D.I.(Servizio Difesa Installazioni)”

Details:

Pretty interesting cut.
