Greetings!
Update 3 June 2026:
We are transitioning from a simple wordpress blog to a fully-dedicated historical platform: arsipmiliter.com
basically its Arsip Militer by Frownland Archive. All rights reserved.
Moving forward, this website will serve a greater, more crucial purpose. Beyond just showcasing collections, arsipmiliter.com will focus heavily on long-form historical writing, deep-dive visual analysis, and original research based on firsthand veteran interviews and primary artifacts. I am committing to preserving Indonesian military history with better documentation, and deeper context.
In March 2024, I created a page called Arsip Militer Indonesia

It serves as a platform where I share all my scanned pictures—whether from my private collection or those entrusted to me— along with previously unpublished photos from veterans’ families. The page has already gained 18.2k followers and acquired over 20 photo albums from various veterans.

Greetings! Welcome to my blog, dedicated to my passion for collecting and preserving Indonesian military artifacts, with a focus on uniform and camouflage.
My journey begins in 2019, primarily focused on OG-107 sateen shirts. Over time, I developed a particular interest in Vietnam War-era items, especially attributed and patched jungle fatigue/jacket.
In 2021, my collecting expanded into Nam camouflage, starting with my first tiger stripe jacket, the Japan-made Tadpole Silver pattern. Since then, I’ve added other unique patterns like CSDC and Beo Gam camo, although there’s still much more for me to acquire.
In 2023, I shifted my attention to solely collecting Indonesian militaria, especially on vintage camouflage and attributed pieces, given the abundance of options available. Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with pak Ken Conboy, a legendary author and my personal idol, who has generously shared his items for my personal collection.
Mr. Ken’s pivotal role in assisting Camopedia and authored the renowned book titled “ELITE,” which is widely regarded as a ‘bible’ for Indonesian militaria. Due to his dedication, we are able to genuinely appreciate collecting and preserving Indonesia history.
His contributions have significantly enriched the understanding and appreciation of military history in Indonesia.
Moving forward, my focus will continue to be on collecting Indonesian items, and more focused on collecting anything that comes directly from the veteran or the family itself.
I’d like to express my gratitude to influential figures in the militaria community, such as (Sort A-Z) Andrew, Bastien, late Bob Hudson, Clark, Francois, Guy, Jack, Jig, Kammoman, Omegamilitaria, Randy, Scott, Steve, Stephen, Vietnamilitaria, Vintageproductions-Bob for their teachings and the examples they’ve shared, which have greatly enhanced my knowledge.
And also fellow collectors: Pak Arief, Pak Andi, Gerald, Pak Herman, Pak Mur, Pak Rezza, Thomas and om Wawan that without your unwavering support, I wouldn’t have come this far.
Key figures in militaria community: Pak Benny Antares, Pak Dionysius Desembriarto, Pak Juni Armanto, PPGA (Pagubuyan Pengumpul Gombal Amoh) community and pak Totok Sudiyanto.
Special thanks to Adit, pak Direz of Darahkubiru, pak Handono, Niq, pak Priyono of Museum Loreng Indonesia and pak Satyanugraha.
