Information from U.S. Army Uniforms of the Vietnam War by Shelby Stanton: The trousers had two front pockets, two hip pockets, and two bellows cargo leg pockets. A small pocket inside the left cargo pocket was designed to hold a special survival kit which was never satisfactorily developed. The trousers had either a slide-fastener fly or a five-button fly. The tunneled draw cords at the bottom of the trouser legs were used to either tie or blouse the trousers over the boots.

This is one of the most sought after pants from Vietnam era uniform.
