Belgian Moon and Balls Camouflage Pants (1956)

Belgian “Moon and Balls” brushstroke camouflage, first introduced in 1952.

Quotiong from Camopedia:
“Although primarily worn by Belgian airborne, commando, and marine units well into the 1970s, the pattern was only produced from 1952 to 1956. It was printed on various fabrics, including light and medium-weight cotton poplins and heavier canvas.”

Mine is tagged RAKA – size 6, and dated 1956. Based on the cloth, I believe it’s made from heavyweight canvas and still retains its original drawstring.

Period Picture from IACMC member: tennoheikanate_japanon , many thanks!!
