Jungle jacket belonged to Howard of the 1st Brigade, 1st Cav. Div. (Airmobile).

The 1st Brigade consisted of three battalions: 1/8 Cavalry, 2/8 Cavalry, and 1/12 Cavalry. Although these units eventually lost their airborne status, some personnel continued to wear AIRBORNE tabs and jump wings, reflecting the brigade’s airborne heritage.

Also included are period photographs showing the personnel still wearing the AIRBORNE tab. DSA 100-67-C-3153
