Jungle Jacket: Sgt. Hamm, 4th ID

This jungle jacket is attributed to Sgt. Hamm of the 4th Infantry Division.

It features a US Army and name tape from the wartime period, specifically dating back to the end of 1968. The hand-embroidered SSI (Shoulder Sleeve Insignia) is theater made. The ranks on the jacket are made with a velvet backing, also theater made.

Sgt. Hamm earned the CIB (Combat Infantryman Badge), which was sewn on in a fast manner to save time.

Jacket itself is dated 1968, with DSA 100-68-C-2485, manufactured by Burgess Mfg. Inc.. Coat, Man’s, Combat, Tropical.
