M65 ABRI / Jaket Korea Han Teknik Military – Kompi Pemburu

This M-65 cut jacket / Jaket Korea is attributed to Handono, Rajawali III personnel. It features the “Pemburu” qualification patch, which is unfortunately one of the most frequently faked or retrofitted patches in Indonesia.

Handono, Kompi Pemburu Rajawali III

The Indonesian military’s efforts to suppress pockets of resistance by Fretilin insurgents in Timor faced numerous frustrations. Various tactics, ranging from local militias to direct offensives, were attempted but proved ineffective.

In mid-1995, Then-Colonel Prabowo Subianto devised a three-month counter-insurgency program called the “Rajawali” Hawk course. The course aimed to train infantry in tracking and small-unit patrolling, then breaking them into 25-man hunter (pemburu) teams – a pivotal development.

The presence of Rajawali Task Force caused the morale of the Fretilin militia to collapse, making it the most feared force.

Jacket is from Han Teknik Military itself.
