Sebuah puzzle yang membutuhkan lebih dari tiga tahun untuk dipecahkan.

Semuanya berawal dari sebuah frog skin coverall di koleksi pribadi Ken Conboy. Dari satu relic tersebut, penelitian berkembang melalui perbandingan arsip, koleksi Kevin Thiry, hingga akhirnya menemukan potongan terakhir dari puzzle ini.

Sejarah selalu berkembang. Terkadang, satu foto mampu mengubah pemahaman kita terhadap sebuah artefak.

Everything started with this coverall from Ken Conboy’s collection.

Over the next three years, the research expanded through archival cross-referencing, period photographs, and comparisons with surviving examples until its earliest documented field use could finally be identified.

With the help of Kevin Thiry, this example was identified as a Batavia-made (locally produced) frog skin coverall, attributed to a member of KST.

The final missing piece came in the form of a period photograph showing a Battalion A, Siliwangi soldier wearing the exact same camouflage pattern and coverall cut—providing the earliest documented evidence currently known.
